Zhongxing New Village was once housed the central administrative office during Taiwan Provincial Government period until the downscale of provincial government and power transfer.
The design of Zhongxing New Village is inspired by “British New Town” style, with coconut trees lining up along the main road, beautiful lotus ponds expansively situated while lush lawns and shady trees spreading across the area, which naturally transforms every road here into green tunnels. Along with its distinctive architectures, this village owns the most unique cultural and historical touch among all veteran’s villages in Taiwan. It has even been voted as the “Most Livable Village of Taiwan”.
This year, Zhongxing New Village creates a “Cluster of Village Roaming” by connecting featured shops owned by returned young generations, youth and female entrepreneurs. By combining these featured shops with local tours, the village is set to provide visitors an extraordinary touring experience. Travelers are encouraged to explore this village on foot or riding a tandem bicycle, immersing themselves in the one-of-a-kind charm of Taiwan Provincial Government heritage.
